Hello Guardians,

We have had a very busy week of learning! With Mrs. Witczak's class we learned the following words:

  • can
  • and
  • the
  • am
  • like
We read poems that included the words and also practiced making them using a variety of different materials.

We read the book "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" by Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle. After that, we began to create our own version of the story. Have your child try to read the first two pages of our story to you.

The students learned to draw a cat and shark using basic shapes, such as circles, triangles, rectangles and squares.

During math, we learned about sorting. Have your child tell you how the following items were sorted in each picture.

Dear Parents and Guardians,   We have had a very busy week of learning so far. On Monday morning, we started our day by writing in our journals. The students were challenged to write about one event from their weekend with lots of detail. They were also asked to create more than one sentence. Mrs. Witczak and I are VERY IMPRESSED with the progress we have seen in our student's journal writing over the past month. Here are a few examples from September: Here are some examples from this week: Here are all of the sight words we have learned so far this year. At this point in time, your child should be able to quickly read and correctly spell each of the words. When working on the words at home, please ensure you practice them in a different order each day:)                             1. the                  11. he ...
